Appointment is for your convenient which you can choose the day and time that you like.
You can come at any time at our working hours without making an appointment but the patients who come first or patients who have appointment will be entertained first.
Why appointment?-Effective and Efficient: Dental treatments usually taking a long time, appointment enable treatment of patients be planned / coordinated so that the waiting time is minimized and the treatment can be carried out without rush, thus service quality can be maintained and consistent. The clinic is committed to treating each appointment patient from -10 to +10 minutes from the time of appointment.
Punctuality is Important
Late Not Yet Filled-If the patient come late less than 10 minutes and the place is not taken up by others, patient still has the priority for their appointment.
Late Already Filled-If the patient come late less than 10 minutes, the clinic has to right to attend to other patients/matters, which your priority might be taken by someone else and you need to wait the earlier patient.
Appointment Cancelled- Patients who are late more than 10 minutes is considered cancelling their appointment automatically. You'll become a walk in patient without priority. Acceptance for treatment is like other walk in patients.
For Whom Appointment
'How many people more until my turn?' 'How much time I need to wait?' 'Doctor in or not?'
If you ask questions like the above, you may need an appointment.
Appointment is suitable for those who:
Appreciate the time. Do not want to wait / queue.
Have to come several times for example making dentures, root canal treatment, braces/orthodontic, bridges, implant, etc.
Want to have express service / priority / VIP experience.
For the short treatment like take off the stitches.
For long treatment is such as surgery, crowns and bridge.
If you come early, you will queue up until your next turn or until your appointment time, whichever is earlier. The doctor may calls you 10 minutes earlier.
Appointment is not encouraged when
You're not sure you can come.
You're rushing after work or school and may not be able to come on time.
You have only a little time for doctor to finish the treatment. Please make another appointment, because doctors will not rush on their work.
You have a habit of late or feel the other person time is less important and can be modified according to your convenience.
For the above scenerior, please give the chance to others.
'Standby' Appointment- If appointment is full, the patient can request / be given the standby appointment (reserve) without affecting the quality of care to other patients. Standby appointment has the priority less than the VIP appointment. But if the VIP appointment failed to come on time, standby appointment shall have the priority. Standby appointment are at 10.15am, 11.15am and etc...
Change the Appointment- Please call the clinic 3 hours (during office hours) before your appointment time, so that a new appointment will be arranged.
Cancelling Appointment- Please call the clinic 3 hours (during office hours) before your appointment time, whether a new appointment need to be arranged. There is no charge. If you make the appointment for the next 1-3 hours, you cannot cancel it. Cancelling appointment without sufficient notice will be recorded as 'Last Minute Cancellation' (LMC).
Failed to Present- Patients who have made an appointment but was absent without prior notice will be recorded as 'Failed to Attend' (FTA). Appointment is an agreement between you and your doctor. Failed to attend is less polite, not only shows that you do not respect your promise and other people's time, it will difficult for you to defend yourself if there is any dispute later. It also affects your merit for the next appointment.
Restriction Appointment- Patients who has less credibility, for example, had failed to show up for appointment or frequent change / cancel the appointment without giving sufficient notice, the clinic still accept their appointment, but in the form of standby appointment, without any further notice. If the condition is severe, clinic may reject any appointment for that patient or request guarantee such as a deposit before an appointment is made. That guarantee deposit will not be returned if the patient FTA or cancel the appointment without sufficient notice.
10 minutes was already given before an appointment is declared FTA. It is the responsibility of the patient to come on time. Please take of the distance, traffic congestion, parking, weather etc. Please do not make blame the accuracy of clinic clocks on computers. No excuse is acceptable when the patient is late, even you called in last minutes to apology. Apology is gladly accepted without prejudice. Even if you are late, receptionist will invite you to sit but will not give any promise how long is your waiting time. Please inform the counter if you cannot wait so another appointment can be made.
Emergency patients (accidents and acute bleeding only) have priority more than other patient, no appointment is necessary. Self-felt or self-defined "emergency" e.g. pain/ulcer/swelling will disqualified as "emergency" if treatment is not sought within 3 hours (clinic working time) of first noticing the "emergency". Self-felt or self-defined "emergency" will be seen on the same day based on humanity ground, If we cannot attend to the self-defined "emergency" we shall inform and refer the patient appropriately.
Record in a Clinic Appointment Book/ Computer is final. If there is no record in the books means no appointment. Confirmation of appointment is done with SMS, please keep your handphone operational. Appointment is confirmed once the appointment is made, not further reminder is needed. However, clinic may send SMS reminder before some important appointment, lack of reminder does not mean that the confirmed appointment is cancelled. If there is any dispute about the appointment time, please show your appointment slip or SMS confirmation.
